About

I’m Zhibin You. My research interests center on galaxy formation and evolution, particularly the dark matter content of low-mass galaxies and the properties of galactic halo gas. I hope to use stellar kinematics to constrain how dark matter is distributed within faint galaxies, and absorption-line spectroscopy to explore the structure of halo gas and its role in galaxy evolution.

I currently work with Professor Dennis Zaritsky as a research assistant at Steward Observatory, University of Arizona, using Binospec integral-field spectra to study the dynamics of ultra-diffuse galaxy pairs.
